Online ServicesFollowing the success of the Balance Plan for Holistic Weight Control for our clients at our Somerton clinic, we have identified the need to be able to offer the plan online to clients who are living outside the immediate area. We always aim to provide a high quality of service. Due to an increase in the number of clients joining the Balance Plan, there maybe a slight delay in your individual plan commencing and therefore we will only take your payment when we are satisfied the Plan can commence immediately. The concept behind the Balance Plan remains the same, (please see the Chronic Conditions Support and Weight Control pages on this website) but how it is operated as an online service is as follows: Step 1 - Please make email contact via the Contact Page. In your email, please give some brief information concerning your age, what your goals are, where you live, and a daytime/early evening phone number. Whilst we aim to respond promptly, please allow three working days for a response. You will be emailed details of the current lead time until your initial assessment can be arranged. Please note that the Balance Plan is not designed to replace conventional medical advice. If you have a medical condition, this does not necessarily exclude you from the online option, but please ensure that in the initial email contact you have advised us. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence, and is required to enable the Team to assess the advisability of your joining the online plan, prior to you making any payment.Step 2 - Upon acceptance into the Balance Plan, online clients are emailed information on the available payment methods, together with an invoice for the initial telephone assessment and the five stages of the Balance Plan. Additionally there will be an enrolment form to print out, complete and return by post. (On returning the form, clients may, if they wish, pay by cheque). Upon receipt of payment, we will make email contact to pre-arrange a time for a telephone appointment, (to a maximum of one hour) to complete the assessment form process. Step 3 - The Balance Team review your assessment, and complete an individual "Stage 1" of your plan, which is then forwarded by post, with an information pack. Within a few days, your Balance Plan Practitioner will contact you by telephone at a pre-arranged time to discuss the plan, and answer any queries you may have (maximum 20 minutes). Step 4 - When you are ready for "stage 2", email your Balance Plan Practitioner who will then forward, by post , your stage 2, and contact you by telephone to discuss it, and answer any queries you may have on the new stage. (Maximum 20 minutes). This continues until you have completed all five stages of the Balance Plan. There is no set time scale before issuing subsequent stages, however if you do not apply for your next stage within 2 calendar months of your last telephone consultation, we require an extra 20 minute phone re-assessment (which will be invoiced in advance) before we can finalise and issue the subsequent stage. Any additional unscheduled 20 minute telephone appointments, (at the request of the client), are also charged at the same rate. In the rare event of further stages being required beyond the normal 5 part plan these will be invoiced in advance at the current rate. Please note that applicants must be based in the UK, and will require access to a standard land line home phone number for either a daytime or early evening telephone consultation. How much does it cost? Please note that the price includes all plan preparation, email administration of the plan, postage costs etc together with a telephone assessment (approximately 1 hour) and 5 x 20 minute phone consultations. Price for the above - £180.00.
If the distance from us is appropriate, but a series of appointments within the working day are an issue, you may be offered a choice between the completely online services, or the alternative option of making one journey to attend the Somerton clinic for a combined assessment and first appointment, but then continuing the plan on an online basis. |
